Right Red Weaving

Here's the final product of my "right red" research and work. I kept a blog daily for a month of when I encountered or thought about this specific cadmium medium red. I am drawn to the way it lifts above other colors around it. The weaving is about 6 feet long and 2 1/2 feed wide. There is a hand painted ikat pattern on the warp. The yarns are all hand dyed or found and recycled. The chunkier white in the weaving is hand spun. To finish the ends I braided merino wool and then felted shapes.
